ion without authorization; illegal disassemble or modify IC card so as to change data. Apart from the above methods there are some professional attacks mainly for operating system. IC card intellectual Prevention technology mainly contains two aspects: one is for IC card itself including physical safety; the other is for information exchange process. In order to ensure the physical safety of IC card, some safety technologies are adopted in manufacture of card base, such as las fuel dispenser er engraving, fluorescent printing and macroline technology. As for possible attacks, chip manufacturers have researched many methods: Inspection of exterior voltage; Inspection of low frequency of clock; Preventing information of data bus being pick through supervision programme; Protecting memory by logical encryption; Fuse protection; Mounting encrypted calculating processor for chip. The above safety technologies are belongs to hardware aspect. Whichever technology provided for hardware platform, the prevention technologies of differential power analysis (DPA) and simple power analysis (SPA) should be considered in software. COS safety mechanism The purpose of COS safety protection aims at protection information on card and exchanged between terminal and card. Therefore, fuel dispenser safety mechanism should be able to effectively control information, which is considered in two aspects: One is to control the right to operate information, that is, who is authorized to operate information; the other is to process information itself, that is, encryption processing by which unauthorized person is unknown to its contents, even though he or she has got information. Other methods include: adopting enhanced Data Encryption Standard (DES) calculation in operating system; memory adopts special encryption; employing specific I/O techniqu fuel dispenser e to prevent Differential Power Analysis (DPA) attack. The control of right to operation of COS basically is divided into two categories: authentication mechanism and safety report mechanism. In real appli

EVENT DESCRIPTION MAIN STATE In this state any attempt to close the Main State will result in the Main State going to the CLOSING CHANGE state. Action: None. When the CHSUTPE_AckError command is received from a controller device the UTP task will ACK ERROR release the entry. Action: The UTP task sends the unsolicited data CHSUTPE_Status. fuel dispenser The status value is zero meaning the entry is released. If a major error event occurs the UTP task releases the unattended transaction entry. For incomplete MAJOR ERROR transactions see Recovery Data event in the MT OPEN state description. Design consideration: If at reboot time the CHS detects transactions in the TRANSACTION ERROR state it must move the error transaction details to the Recovered Transactions Database and generate the MAJOR_ERROR_06H (Recovered transaction at start-up). Action: The UTP task sends the unsolicited data CHSUTPE_Status and CHSEC_ErrMsg2. MINOR ERROR If a minor error event occu fuel dispenser rs the UTP task stays in the TXN ERROR state. Action: The UTP task sends the unsolicited data CHSEC_ErrMsg2. When a command is sent which is not included in this event description the command will be rejected and the UTP task stays in the same state. Action: The MT sends a NAK - Command refused in this state . chs_100 STANDARD FORECOURT PROTOCOLJ. Economic growth The jobless boom Jan 12th 2006 | BANGKOK From The Economist print edition A first-world problem is hitting Asia UNEMPLOYMENT is not normally considered a problem in Asia. Most adults, and quite a few children, are simply too poor not to work. They make whatever living they can, often as subsistence farmers, or, increasingly, as fuel dispenser casual labourers in cities. Moreover, Asian economies generate lots of jobs each year, thanks to their tigerish growth. But many Asian countries, it turns out, are generating job-seekers even faster. The number of the unemployed in the region has risen every year since 1999, albeit from a low base. The International Labour Organisation reckons that some 74m people, or 4.4% of the workforce, are currently out of work across Asia and the Pacific. Those figures do not include the legions of underemployed. According to a recent report from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), a fifth of the workforce in Pakistan, a quarter in Nepal and over a third in Bangladesh do not have as much work as they want. In Vietnam, the underemployment rate for rural workers is put at 56%. Demograph fuel dispenser y is exacerbating the trend. Most countries in the region still have relatively youthful populations, so more people enter the job market each year than leave it. The ADB predicts that China s workforce will grow by 7% by 2015, Indonesia s by 14%, Pakistan s by 30% and Afghanistan s by 43%. If more women start working, as they are doing throughout the region, the growth in the labour pool will be even more dramatic. Young Asians are already struggling to find jobs. Those between the ages of 15 and 24 make up a fifth of the workforce, but fuel dispenser half the unemployed. In Sri Lanka, younger workers are six times more likely to be unemployed than older ones. Asia s growth, in other words, is simply not creating enough jobs and not only is the rati
